Mmmm....fresh cobra blood

Just finished watching National Geographic's program on food taboos. Interesting little diddy. Basically they showed how different cultures have sort of different standards as to what each would consider food. For instance, they show a bunch of people in thailand and south east asia eating bugs like scorpions and crickets and so forth, and claim that these foods are a high source of protein, and aren't really taboo for easterners, as they would be for westerners. See, the whole thing they're getting at here is that we westerners have some food eating habits that would scare off other cultures as well: for instance, did you know that in some countries cheese, being curduled milk and all, is downright disgusting. Go figure. I love cheese myself.
The downright fuckin' sickest part of the show was a part where these african lookin' dudes as part of a ritual ate their own pet dog! Look at scruffy here.
Now just imagine whacking him over the head with a club, cutting his tail and nose off, and then throwing his ass on a spit for some fine dining?
Wifey and I just about puked...
